Homeira Maddahian, LMFT

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, my ultimate goal is to support individuals in discovering a new level of inner peace that is always available regardless of external circumstances; to come into a new and meaningful relationship with themselves and therefore with the world around them. I strive to create a compassionate, caring, and nurturing environment in which my clients feel safe and comfortable as they move through the therapeutic process and heal from past wounds.I believe in the inherent healing capacity of the individual and have been successful working with clients on both long and short term issues.

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angeles, and my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. I provide psychotherapy services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. The relationship that I develop with my clients is one of the most important tools that I use in helping individuals manage difficult life events. I will work with you in discovering your core issues, understanding limiting patterns of behaviors, limiting beliefs, roles and defenses, getting in touch and comfortable in experiencing feelings and ways to express these emotions and ultimately developing a profound inner awareness that can give you the choice in moving forward with your life and journey in a more whole and healthy way.

I have extensive experience with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, drug or alcohol problems, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, codependency, abuse, grief and loss, spirituality issues, workplace stress, job loss, and career change. Using a collaborative and compassionate approach I encourage individuals to explore their creativity, spirituality, intellect and emotions to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of their families, spouses and partners.
